The Gobby Brit - GoodMigrations Expert Expats

Sharon

From: London, UK

Living in: Los Angeles, United States

Expat Blog: http://thegobbybrit.blogspot.com/

Twitter: https://twitter.com/thegobbybrit

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thegobbybrit

Bio: I’ve lived in the USA for almost 21 years now having moved from South London back in 1994 with my then husband and two young children. The going has been tough at times, the homesickness can be hard, but at the end of the day, I’m loving life in Southern California. Cultural and language differences were hard to overcome; we truly are two nations divided by a common language and I’ve had struggles in my adopted country, but I’m still here. My blog is my outlet for the (sometimes) confusing expat life I lead. The secret is to not take yourself too seriously, and I think my blog shows that and is a means of expressing myself in a funny, candid and sometimes snarky way.

While joking about living the dream in Hollywood she didn’t fully expect to be thrust into the Hollwyood and Beverly Hillslife, smack bang in the middle of lifestyles of the rich and famous. Spurred on by friends to blog about her surreal life, she’s ready to help answer your questions about making a move to LA. Just please don’t ask her how to get a job in Hollywood.

Mother Life- Australian Expat living in New York City

Molley

She’s held her tongue for long enough and now wants to share her experiences, so you can laugh along with her and maybe share a story or two. You can also find her hiding from the kids and dog on the couch with coffee and chocolate. Shhh don’t tell…

Katherine

From: Sydney, Australia

Living in: San Francisco, United States

Expat Blog: http://www.brightlightsofamerica.com

Twitter: https://twitter.com/krasf

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/expatsintheusa

Bio: Hi, I’m Katherine and I moved to San Francisco in 2015. This is my second expat jaunt – I spent some time living in London in 2009 and loved the experience. In a former career, I was a newspaper and online journalist, so it made sense that I’d start a blog when I moved to the US. I try to cover the gamut of the expat experience over in San Francisco – from what to expect when you’re looking for a home, to building credit history, and making new friends. There are lots of travel ideas thrown in for good measure too!
