Angel has a high violent crime rate and an average property crime rate for London.
To say that the neighborhood of Angel is an absolutely gorgeous place to live would be an understatement. Situated in the northern part of central London, it is considered one of the city's best places to live due to its location, restaurants, bars, and culture. Despite its proximity to the City it still has its own identity and hasn’t been taken over by tourism.
As you'd expect of an in-demand area, living in Angel is expensive and most of the residents are wealthy expats and Londoners who mix together seamlessly. Much of this population works within the media and financial services industries. Rent is much higher than the the average in London, but there aren’t too many bland apartments in the area, so you have a good chance of getting something attractive. You can get standalone homes as well, though they don’t come onto the market all that often.
Upper Street is main thoroughfare of the community and the best place to go for food and nightlife. Camden Passage has a ton of shopping options that will keep you busy for hours.
Angel is a very walkable neighborhood and is even walking and cycling distance to some of the city's business hubs, like Shoreditch, but it's also served by a tube station and quite a few bus lines.
Angel is bordered on the north by Islington, on the east by Shoreditch, on the south by Clerkenwell, and on the west by Barnsbury.

Open since June 2009 an award winning cocktail bar located on a backstreet of Islington. Identifiable by an outdoor lantern, it is a unique cocktail bar housed in one intimate room. The interior blends 1950s Italian Café style with a Film Noir feel.
