Blackwall has an average violent crime rate and an average property crime rate for London.
Home to many hardworking families and young couples, Blackwall is a portion of East London that tends to get lost among the hipper neighborhoods that surround it.
The cost of living here is reasonable, especially if you are looking to rent an apartment. There isn't a huge selection to choose from, so you’ll have to get lucky. Amenities wise, you’ll come across a few little coffee shops and cafes, but you’ll have to venture outside of Blackwall to find anything truly revolutionary. Caution at night is recommended as there are some places that are a little gritty and have some crime.
Blackwall is bordered on the north by Poplar, on the east by Leamouth, and on the south and west by Canary Wharf.
