Peace and quiet are the norm in the North London neighborhood of Bounds Green. This is not a place for people who are looking for a trendy lifestyle. Instead, it is filled with Turkish grocers and little cafes that have been around forever and use more butter than is probably healthy. It's a relaxed place to live and offers very affordable homes. Families are attracted to the area because of the outstanding primary and secondary schools.

The best places to find a home here are on Bounds Green Road, Myddleton Road, and around Bowes Park conservation area. In these areas you'll find a good selection of older Victorian and Edwardian single-family homes. You’ll also be able to find large terraces. If you are looking for something newer, Alexandra Palace has great choices, but you’ll pay more.

While this isn't an exciting place to live, it does have good transit and all of the basic amenities that you’ll need.
