  WHAT’S LIVING IN Canonbury LIKE?

Canonbury is a small but diverse neighborhood in central London filled with absolutely gorgeous streets. This is a thriving neighborhood with residents from a variety of backgrounds and age groups, including lawyers, media professionals, and tradespeople and singles, couples, families, and retirees.

The best homes here are found on Canonbury Square, Canonbury Grove, and Alywne Villas. These properties are absolutely gorgeous and have easy access to a walking path along the local canal. There is a nice mixture of single-family homes and smaller apartments available, but they can be pricey. The northeast corner of the neighborhood is a bit more affordable, but it is a bit rougher. The southern corner attracts a younger crowd because of the proximity to nightlife, so it does tend to be a little noisier.

A lot of people choose to live here because of the friendly, village-like vibe, but it is close to the amenities and bars of the surrounding areas. You have access to transportation, arts, culture, food, shops, and community events. There is a healthy gallery life and theater scene as well for fans of the arts.

Canonbury is bordered on the north by Highbury, on the east by Dalston, on the south by Shoreditch, and on the west by Islington.
