  WHAT’S LIVING IN Hammersmith LIKE?

Hammersmith is an active neighborhood in West London full of shopping, offices, and several transportation hubs. Yet if you just walk a few blocks in any direction, you’ll find tranquil parks and attractive streets.

Since the area has a ton of great schools, it's a popular destination for families. They tend to go toward the period homes that are within walking distance of the schools and other amenities. There are also young professionals who want something a on the quieter  but also want a short commute. They tend to prefer the mansions converted to flats or the ultra hip renovated factories since they are the most updated. You'll also find empty nesters and retirees who have lived here most of their lives.

There are plenty of dining options here and you'll find restaurants that have become local institutions as well as newer places popping up. The same can be said about the plentiful bars which have more of a laid back vibe than a crazy party atmosphere.

Hammersmith offers a lot of amenities, including basics like pharmacies, farmers’ markets, and grocery stores, as well as art galleries, music venues, cinema, and a library. Sailing aficionados can join the Corinthian Sailing Club.

Hammersmith is bordered on the north by Shepherd's Bush, on the east by Kensington, on the south by Fulham, and on the west by Chiswick.
