  WHAT’S LIVING IN Harringay LIKE?

Harringay is a bit of a forgotten neighborhood in London's north. Home to students, young couples, and elderly people who have spent their lives here, you'll find a tightknit community and a village-like atmosphere. The major benefit of life in Harringay is the cost of living since renting or buying here is so affordable (well, relative to the rest of London).

There are some terrific Turkish restaurants here thanks to the large Turkish community in Harringay. You'll also find Indian Polish, Vietnames, Italian, Greek, American, and British dining options. The neighborhood has some nightlife options (as long as you like pubs) and The Salisbury has been rated as one of the best pubs in the city. Several pubs host live music. The majority of these places are along the main thoroughfare in town, Green Lanes. so the rest of the neighborhood remains quiet.

There are several good schools here, although a few others are in need of improvement.

Harringay is bordered on the north by Wood Green, on the east by Seven Sisters, on the south by Woodberry Down and Stroud Green, and on the west by Hornsey and Crouch End.
