Shepherd's Bush has a high violent crime rate and a high property crime rate for London.
Shepherd’s Bush is a highly residential area with the largest shopping mall in Europe, the Westfield Shopping Centre. It's mostly filled with chain stores, but you will be able to find small, independent shops mixed in. While this mall dominates the landscape here, the neighborhood is gradually morphing from a boring shopping hub into a fun place to live.
You’ll find a great mixture of houses and apartments in Shepherd’s Bush: cottages, lots of detached and semi-detached homes, and converted flats.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars found just off the main thoroughfare, Uxbridge Road. Adams Cafe is an award winning spot that serves diner fare during the day but turns into a Moroccan restaurant at night. The neighborhood also boasts two great music venues, the Shepherd's Bush Empire and Bush Hall, but most of the area is quiet.
For green space, you'll be walking distance to the charming Holland Park.
Several transportation hubs make this neighborhood easy to get in and out of.
Shepherd's Bush is bordered on the north by White City, on the east by Notting Hill, on the south by Hammersmith. and on the west by Acton.
