South Hackney has an above average violent crime rate and an above average property crime rate for London.
Just like Hackney, South Hackney is going through a resurgence. The area is attracting more and more businesses and people. One of the highlights of this area is the architecture of the buildings. You’ll find a mixture of older and newer structures and a lot of the apartments have been updated with modern amenities. Prices are slowly rising, but you’ll be able to find a nice place for a decent price. There’s a real community feel to the area and people always seem to have a few minutes to stop and talk to each other.
South Hackney is bordered on the west and north by Hackney, on the east by Hackney Wick and Old Ford, and on the south by Bethnal Green.
