WHAT’S LIVING IN Tufnell Park LIKE?

Tufnell Park is a desirable neighborhood in central London. It's mostly residential and known for the Victorian terraces that line its streets. Its residents are wealthy: Tufnell Park is popular with politicians, bankers, media professionals, and others who aren’t in danger of running out of money. Most people who move here tend to stay here because of the great lifestyle and amenities.

There are quite a few large Victorian homes within Tufnell Park, but most of them have been converted into apartments. There have been some attempts to convert these apartment buildings back into single-family homes, but most efforts have been blocked by the local council. Still, if you have the money to spend, you can find a whole house here. Double-fronted mansions tend to be the most expensive homes.

There is no high street in the area, but there are independent shops and boutiques that are sprinkled throughout the neighborhood. Nonetheless, you'll still find plenty of daily conveniences in the area, including clothing stores, supermarkets, homewares, a deli, a fishmonger, a butcher, and a hardware store.

There aren’t any parks in the area, though the beautiful Hampstead Heath is within walking distance.

For those with kids, there are three outstanding primary schools in the area.

Tufnell Park is bordered on the north and east by Holloway, on the south by Camden, and on the west by Highgate.
