WHAT’S LIVING IN White City LIKE?

White City is a little bit more run down than some of the areas that surround it, but it is still a great place to live. It's home to many people who are just moving to London since you're able to get shorter rental agreements and cheaper prices. There are some great houses to choose from, but apartments make up a majority of the market.

You’ll find a nice mixture of pubs and restaurants here, though you won’t have as many options as you will in some of the neaby neighborhoods like Earls Court. The same could be said about shopping here – you’ll likely want to go elsehwere for anything beyond the basics.

The neighborhood's sleepy, forgotten status is about to change, however. The former home of the BBC and its surrounding real estate is about to be the site of a massive regeneration effort. A multi-billion pound infusion of cash is set to build 5,000 new homes, schools, a university campus, and parks. Given how similar initiatives have revolutionized London's east, a wise person might bet his or her money on White City becoming an "it" neighborhood in the not-too-distant future.

White City is bordered on the north by Old Oak Common, on the east by North Kensington, on the south by Shepherd's Bush, and on the west by Acton.
