  WHAT’S LIVING IN Cerritos LIKE?

Located at the nexus of several major highways in southeast Los Angeles, Cerritos is an affluent city of roughly 50,000 people. Hugging these highways are Cerritos' commercial areas. It's known for two massive malls: the Los Cerritos Center is a giant shopping mall and the Cerritos Auto Square is a sprawling collection of car dealers. But as you move away from the major roads you'll find quiet residential streets. Most housing here consists of large single-family homes, though you will find a few condos and townhomes.

There is a good selection of restaurants around, but you won't find anything too upscale. Casual cafes and ethnic cuisine dominate the options here. Nightlife is limited to a few sports bars.

Cerritos has a number of public parks that feature plenty of grassy areas for picnics or sports, a swimming pool, fishing pond, playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a skate park.

The area also benefits from being part of one of the best school districts in California.

Cerritos is bordered on the north by Norwalk, Artesia, and Santa Fe Springs, on the east by La Mirada, Buena Park, and La Palma, and on the south and west by Lakewood.
