Once a vacation community, Palms is now a diverse, residential area of large apartment buildings and single-family houses that are home to a large number of renters. There are a few commercial areas and the neighborhood boasts a number of Indian and Pakistani businesses. Palms is also home to LA's "Little Brazil", with a number of Brazilian restaurants and businesses.
Palms is bordered on the north by Rancho Park, Cheviot Hills, and Beverlywood, on the west by Mar Vista, on the south by Culver City, and on the east by Mid-City.

Santa Monica: 5.8 miles / 15-30 minutes by car / 30-35 minutes by transit
