Once a vacation community, Palms is now a diverse, residential area of large apartment buildings and single-family houses that are home to a large number of renters. There are a few commercial areas and the neighborhood boasts a number of Indian and Pakistani businesses. Palms is also home to LA's "Little Brazil", with a number of Brazilian restaurants and businesses.

Century City: 2.8 miles / 10-20 minutes by car / 25 minutes by transit / 20-25 minutes by bike
Downtown LA: 11.1 miles / 25-45 minutes by car / 60-70 minutes by transit
Santa Monica: 5.8 miles / 15-30 minutes by car / 30-35 minutes by transit
