Woodland Hills has an average violent crime rate and a high property crime rate for Los Angeles.
Woodland Hills is an affluent suburb in the San Fernando Valley, just north of the Santa Monica Mountains. The business area of this community is clustered around the Warner Center, which is a massive development of office and industrial buildings, malls, and condos. Around this center you'll find single-family homes and some low-rise apartment complexes. Given its proximity to the Santa Monica mountains and other parks there are ample hiking options.
Woodland Hills is bordered on the north by West Hills, Canoga Park, and Winnetka, on the east by Tarzana, on the south by Calabasas and Topanga, and on the west by the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Preserve parklands.
