WHAT’S LIVING IN Box Hill LIKE?

Box Hill is a thriving suburb just 14 kilometers east of Melbourne. The suburb has a strong multicultural influence, with immigrants from China and Malaysia. Lovers of Asian cuisine will enjoy the wide array of restaurants and shops along Station Street and Whitehorse Road.

There's major shopping center here that has just about everything you could need. Centro Box Hill features a large indoor market with a food court, major retailers, and services. While this suburb has more shopping options than many of its neighbors, there are trains, trams, and buses to transport you into the city for greater variety.

Box Hill has its very own Australian Rules Football club, the Box Hill Hawks, that play in the local Oval.

This suburb tends to attract families thanks to the many top notch primary and secondary schools here. You'll also find a good number of empty nesters and retirees. Box Hill has an array of beautiful homes, townhomes, and apartments available to buy or rent, with a sizeable market. Rent and mortgages are more expensive than in neighboring suburbs, but the suburb’s cultural diversity and growing appeal have made it one of the more desirable places to live in Melbourne's East.

Box Hill is bordered on the north by Box Hill North, on the east by Blackburn, on the south by Box Hill South, and on the west by Mont Albert.
