Fairmount Park is a hilly, residential neighborhood in West Seattle. Shopping and dining options are centered around major thoroughfares, including Fauntleroy Avenue, California Avenue, and 35th Avenue Northwest. There are local favorites like Talarico's Pizza and the Elliot Bay Brewery & Pub is a good spot to have a pint. Overall, however, the neighborhood has a quiet vibe.
Despite the fact that there's not much excitement here, it attracts a range of people, including singles, couples, young families, and retirees. While there aren't any good public schools nearby, you have your choice of several excellent private institutions that cater to children aged from preschool all the way up to high school.
Fairmount's namesake park has athletic fields, a playground, and running trails.
Fairmount Park is bordered on the north by West Seattle Junction, on the east by North Delridge and High Point, on the south by Gatewood, and on the west by Seaview.
