Located in the center of West Seattle, Genesee is a quiet residential neighborhood popular with families. This neighborhood isn't particularly exciting, but you are quite close to the dining, nightlife, and shopping hub of West Seattle Junction.
When you need to tire the kids out, Ercolini Park has a childrens' play areas as well as open grassy space for sports.
There are a few very good elementary schools in the area, as well as several private schools.
Genesee is bordered on the north by North Admiral, on the east by North Delridge, on the south by Seaview, and on the west by Alki.
