Highland Park is a diverse working class neighborhood in West Seattle. You'll find quiet, tree-lined streets with modest homes and a few small apartment buildings. There's not much in the way of entertainment or dining here, but you're not far from hubs like West Seattle Junction.
For recreation you've got the 8.4 acre (3.4 hectare) Westcrest Park, which features open fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, and an off-leash area for dogs.
The neighborhood has easy access to two major highways so commuting south of the city is a breeze.
Highland Park is bordered on the north by Riverview, on the east by South Park, on the south by White Center, and on the west by South Delridge.

Westcrest Park is a very large park. It has a view platform with a great panoramic view of the city skyline, flat open meadow, with a short walking path, and a dog off-leash area.
