Bondi Junction has a low violent crime rate and a below average property crime rate for Sydney.
Bondi Junction is a major shopping hub for the Eastern Suburbs. The upscale Westfield Mall has everything from designer stores to electronics, tailors, knife sharpeners, and a cinema. There are a number of grocery stores here, big box retailers like K-Mart, and a ton of diverse types of restaurants.
Radiating out from the shopping centers are condo towers and terraces. This more residential part of the junction has a suburban feel, where neighbors say hello to each other while walking their dogs.
Bondi Junction is also home to the beautifully designed Central Synagogue, the largest synagogue in the southern hemisphere and home to the largest Jewish congregation in Australia.
Bondi Junction is bordered on the north by Woollahra, on the east by Bondi, on the south by Queens Park, and on the west by Centennial Park.
