Bronte has a low violent crime rate and a low property crime rate for Sydney.
Located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, Bronte is a laid back, family friendly suburb with a beautiful beach and park. Once a working class area, it has retained a welcoming vibe despite becoming a trendy place to live (so trendy it attracts Aussie celebs). In fact, several years ago the city's main newspaper, the Sydney Morning Herald, declared Bronte the best Sydney suburb out of a 641 contenders.
Property sizes tend to be on the smaller side here, but many of the older homes have been extended to fit family-sized needs. Expect a daily struggle of finding a spot to park on the street unless you're one of the lucky few with a car space.
There is very limited shopping here but there are a number of great restaurants, primarily along the road that borders the beach. For your day-to-day needs like groceries you'll need to head to the nearby shopping mecca of Bondi Junction.
Bronte is bordered on the north by Bondi and Tamarama, on the east by the Tasman Sea, on the south by Clovelly, and on the west by Waverley.
