Lavender Bay has a low violent crime rate and a low property crime rate for Sydney.
Rated as one of Sydney's "Most Liveable Suburbs", Lavender Bay is an affluent, residential suburb sloping down to the waterfront with stunning views of Sydney proper. Its desirability makes the home prices pretty stunning as well: it's one of the most expensive places in the country. You'll find a mix of single-family homes (some humble, some grand, but all pricey), terraced rowhouses, duplexes, lowrise apartment buildings, and a lone highrise condo.
There are no entertainment or shopping options here, although there are a couple restaurants. However, you're a short walk or ride to adjacent neighborhoods offering more to do.
There are a number of parks along the water providing plenty of room to sit and take in the view, play with your dog, walk to the iconic Luna Park, or explore Wendy's Secret Garden.
Lavender Bay is bordered on the north by North Sydney, on the east by Milsons Point, on the south by Lavender Bay (body of water), and on the west by McMahons Point.
