Rose Bay has a low violent crime rate and a low property crime rate for Sydney.
Located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, Rose Bay is an affluent suburb that wraps around a small bay of the same name. This is mostly a residential neighborhood of stately, traditional single-family homes, duplexes, and some smaller apartment buildings. However, unlike some of its quieter neighbors it does have a good mix of restaurants and shopping along its main thoroughfares.
A large part of its real estate is taken up by the Woollahra Golf Club and the more prestigious Royal Sydney Gold Club . The beach along the bay also offers stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing charters, and other water sports.
Rose Bay is also home to the Hogwarts-esque Kincoppal-Rose Bay School of the Sacred Heart. This girls-only school resides in a private estate originally built in 1851 and accepts both day students and boarders. Another all girls school, Kambala, is located next door (and also occupies a stunning former home). Both are highly ranked learning institutions.
Ferry service at the Rose Bay wharf can take you to Manly, north Sydney, the CBD, and other spots in the harbour.
Rose Bay is bordered on the north by Rose Bay (body of water) and Vaucluse, on the east by Dover Heights, on the south by Bondi and Bellevue Hill, and on the west by Bellevue Hill.
