Hawthorne Hills has a below average violent crime rate and an above average property crime rate for Seattle.
Hawthorne Hills is a quiet, upscale residential neighborhood in the northeast region of Seattle. As the name implies, it occupies a hill, which gives its residents incredible views of Lake Washington, Downtown Seattle, and the Cascade Mountains.
The great views come at a cost however: it's one of the more expensive neighborhoods in the city. But since its residents enjoy one of the highest median household incomes in Seattle, they can afford it. Many of the stately homes date to the 1940s and some go as far back as the 1920s.
Besides a couple playgrounds, you can forget about having anything to do around here. When it comes to shopping, dining, and entertainent you'll need to go elsewhere.
Hawthorne Hills is bordered on the north by View Ridge, on the east by Windermere, on the south by Laurelhurst, and on the west by Bryant.
