South Lake Union is a neighborhood in transition thanks to tech behemoth Amazon establishing its headquarters here. Previously an industrial center, the area is now a hub for tech companies and their employees, which has brought new apartment buildings and an influx of hip bars and restaurants.
On a nice day you can relax in Lake Union Park, completed in 2010, which offers green space for sports and picnics as well as paddle boats and sailing lessons. South Lake Union is within walking distance of Seattle's downtown.

LunchBox Laboratory got started in a 400 square foot building in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle by the MacGyver-like culinary vision of Food Alchemist Scott Simpson.
