Castle Cove has a low violent crime rate and a low property crime rate for Sydney.
Castle Cove is an upscale, residential suburb of large single-family homes in Sydney's Lower North Shore region. This is an extremely green neighborhood – more than half of its real estate is taken up by parkland, including Castle Cove Park, HD Robb Reserve, Willis Park, and the sprawling Explosive Reserve woodlands, which earned its name since it was once a buffer area for a munitions magazine in nearby Bantry Bay. The Reserve comes with its own private castle, Innisfallen, which was built in 1903 and has only had a couple owners since then.
This is an almost completely residential area – there is one small plaza with a couple restaurants, a coffee shop, a butcher, and baker. For more dining and shopping options you'll need to head to some nearby neighborhoods.
Castle Cove is bordered on the north by Roseville Chase and Middle Harbour, on the east by Middle Harbour and Sugarloaf Bay, on the south by Middle Cove, and on the west by Roseville.
