WHAT’S LIVING IN Vermont South LIKE?

Located 20 kilometers east of Melbourne, Vermont South is a tidy, family-friendly residential suburb. Residents speak highly of the friendly neighbors, peaceful lifestyle, and great schools.

There's a respectable town center the has most of your basic needs covered: grocery stores, banks, and a handful of restaurants.

But what it lacks in shopping and dining it makes up with a recreation options. A variety of parks and walking and cycling tracks are spread across the suburb, it boasts a public golf course, and is also home to the Nunawading Motorcross Track. Behind this track are bush walk trails that go into the Dandenong Creek area. These walking trails connect to the larger bike trails of eastern Victoria, including the nearby Jells Parks, which is a sprawling 127 hectare (313 acre) conservation area.

For those with children, you'll find world-class educational facilities like Emmaus College, Vermont South Special School, and Weeden Heights Primary School located here.

Most residents live in renovated traditional-style homes or reside in one of the many brand new apartments sprouting up.

The nearest railway station is Mitcham railway station, which is a few suburbs away, but Vermont South is serviced by several bus lines. Even so, this is a suburb where you'll need a car to really get around.

Vermont South is bordered on the north by Vermont, on the east by Wantirna and Wantirna South, on the south by Glen Waverley, and on the west by Burwood East and Forest Hill.
