Located in Brooklyn, Clinton Hill is a relaxed residential neighborhood with tree-lined streets and beautiful houses thanks to its origins as a home for the wealthy. It's evolved into a more egalitarian neighborhood and now midrise brick apartments and condos sit down the street from elegant brownstones, carriage houses, and standalone mansions.

This area is a magnet for young professionals and young families due to its affordability. The architecture, art, and design-focused Pratt Institute brings students to the neighborhood as well.

Despite being on the quieter side, the neighborhood has a lot going on. Its main avenues offer boutiques, coffee shops, and groceries, and so far larger chains have stayed away. There are also a number of terrific restaurants and several bars and lounges.

Clinton Hill has a few small parks and playgrounds, but for serious exercise or play you'll need to head to the nearby Fort Greene Park or the sprawling Prospect Park.

Clinton Hill is bordered on the north by the Navy Yard and Williamsburg, on the east by Bedford-Stuyvesant, on the south by Crown Heights and Prospect Heights, and on the west by Fort Greene.
