  WHAT’S LIVING IN Georgetown LIKE?

Georgetown, located in south Seattle, is one of the city's more affordable neighborhoods (for now). Its cheap rents have made it a popular home for artists – many of whom have set up studios. Amongst its many warehouses you'll find modest single-family homes and old brick apartment buildings.

Funky shops, music venues, art walks, cafes, restaurants, and bars provide plenty of entertainment. And each summer it hosts the Georgetown Carnival, which features arts and crafts, live music, acrobats, stiltwalkers, and beer gardens.

And when you want your kids to get some fresh air you can head over to the neighborhood's Oxbow Park, famous for its giant cowboy hat and boots. There is also the Georgetown Playfield, which has athletic fields and a spray park.

Georgetown is bordered on the north by the Industrial District, the east by Beacon Hill, the south by the King County International Airport, and the west by South Park and Riverview.
