The University District – or U District as everyone calls it – is the neighborhood that surrounds the beautiful campus of the University of Washington and its 45,000 students. As you'd expect of a university town, there are tons of restaurants, bars, and music venues.
Still, there aren't just students here: it's also a popular area for young professionals given the buzz of activities and easy access to other parts of the city thanks to U District's great public transport.
U-District is bordered on the north by Roosevelt and Ravenna, on the east by Laurelhurst, on the south by Portage Bay (body of water), and on the west by Wallingford.

Bellevue: 9 miles / 20-35 minutes by car / 35 minutes by transit

Din Tai Fung was founded in Taipei, Taiwan in 1958 as a cooking oil retail shop. In 1972, it transitioned into a full fledged restaurant specializing in soup dumplings and noodles.
