Parsons Green has an average violent crime rate and a high property crime rate for London.
Parsons Green was once home to aristocratic Londoners, but today the population skews toward professionals and families who are buying homes from the older population. It's still upscale and is a prime choice for those who want some quiet while remaining somewhat close to the City. It offers a lot of activities and amenities but maintains a close-knit village atmosphere.
Housing in the area is mostly large properties that have been converted into smaller homes and apartments, but you will still find single-family terraces. These are mostly Victorian and Edwardian style homes. There is new development in the area as well that has created more modern housing options.
Parsons Green has a good selection of cafes and restaurants, including the iconic White Horse pub, which dates back centuries. Another popular spot is the California-inspired Hally's, which has a healthy breakfast and brunch menu.
Parsons Green offers a lot to do. The nearby Bishop’s Park offers plenty of green space, athletic fields, and a man-made beach, the neighbhorhood hosts annual events that bring the community together, and a weekly farmers' market is held each Sunday. It's also home to the London Theatre Workshop, a small theater that puts on cabaret, comedy, and music shows. The Eel Brook Pub is also quite famous for its innovative shows.
Other local amenities include grocery stores, cinemas, gyms, salons, laundromats, and libraries.
Parsons Green is bordered on the west and north by Fulham, on the east by Chelsea, and on the south by the Thames.
