Centennial Park has a low violent crime rate and a low property crime rate for Sydney.
Nearly all of the Centennial Park suburb is taken up by the park of the same name, which is Sydney's answer to the great New York Central Park. Located in the Eastern Suburbs region, you'll find large, traditional homes directly facing the park and apartment buildings just behind them.
The park is the star of this neighborhood. Its 189 hectares (467 acres) encompasses athletic fields, hiking trails, historic buildings, and a number of ponds. For horse lovers, the Sydney Equestrian Center is just steps away.
There is a café in the park, but for retail, dining, and nightlife you're just a few minutes walk to Paddington and Wollahra, and a quick bus ride to the shopping hub of Bondi Junction.
Centennial Park is bordered on the north by Paddington and Woollahra, on the east by Bondi Junction and Queens Park, on the south by Randwick and Kensington, and on the west by Moore Park.
