  WHAT’S LIVING IN Leamouth LIKE?

Although the history of Leamouth can be traced back to as early as 1297, it's one of London's forgotten neighborhoods. That's changing as massive new development has added highrises, office space, and a new home for the English National Ballet. But even today this is a bright, colorful neighborhood filled with interesting sights and sounds.

Affordable housing is plentiful in the area, especially for small studio and one bedroom apartments, although you can find sizes up to four bedrooms here. Many of these apartments are in old converted warehouses that used to serve the docks here. There aren’t a ton of single-family houses available, but there are some that pop up on the market from time to time.

You won't find much in the way of a dining or entertainment scene yet, but you'll be walking distance to all the restaurants and culture of Canary Wharf.

Leamouth is bordered on the north by Plaistow, on the east by Canning Town, on the south by the Thames, and on the west by Poplar.
