  WHAT’S LIVING IN Stockwell LIKE?

Stockwell is an up-and-coming neighborhood that has become increasingly popular with young families. This influx has driven more transportation options and a number of community events. Stockwell is also unique in that it's home to the largest Portuguese community outside of Portugal.

A lot the homes in the area are Georgian style terraces, and townhouses that were converted into apartments, and even detached villas. There are a lot of more affordable options for young professionals who want something with a little luxury. For those on a tight budget, there are some ex-council owned apartments.

There isn’t really a High Street or town center in Stockwell, so although you will find some restaurants and shops, most residents head to nearby neighborhoods to for shopping, dining, and nightlife. Many of the cafes, bakeries, and restaurants that are here are Portuguese owing to that community's cultural influence.

The neighborhood is filled with people who love to be active, whether they out for a run in Stockwell Park or Larkhall Park or working out at one of the largest gyms in London.

Stockwell is bordered on the north by Vauxhall, on the east by Camberwell, on the south by Brixton, and on the west by Clapham.
