WHAT’S LIVING IN Gipsy Hill LIKE?

Gipsy Hill has some of the best views you will find in the City thanks to its location on a, er…hill. This isn't one of London's better known neighborhoods, but its slopes offer a great lifestyle.

Filled mostly with professional couples and families, this is a friendly community where neighbors get to know each other.

Most of the homes here are Victorian style properties that have been restored to their original beauty and are great for families. A few of these grand homes have been divided into apartments. For singles, couples, or smaller families, there are cottages and Edwardian homes that have 1-2 bedrooms. And finally, newer construction offers a good choice of smaller apartments.

There's not much happening here, but you do have a ton of choices for pubs, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and stores nearby in an area called “the Triangle.” Coffee lovers will be happy with the Brown and Green Café, which has been a local favorite for years.

And if you're an outdoors person or love fishing, you might want to check out the nearby South Norwood Lake and Grounds where you can fish or go sailing.

Gipsy Hill is bordered on the west and north by West Norwood, on the east by Sydenham, and on the south by Crystal Palace
