Green Lake is a charming neighborhood in northwest Seattle that gets its name from the 50,000 year old lake it surrounds (you're never far from water in this city). The neighborhood is mostly residential, with a mix of condos, town homes, and large historical homes overlooking the lake.
You'll find some restaurants and businesses along the eastern edge of the lake but overall the neighborhood is fairly quiet.
When you want some exercise you can head to Green Lake Park for a run or use its indoor swimming pool or tennis courts.
Green Lake is bordered on the north by Northgate, on the east by Maple Leaf and Roosevelt, on the south by Wallingford, and on the west by Phinney Ridge.

Downtown Seattle: 5.7 miles / 15-40 minutes by car / 25 minutes by transit
Bellevue: 10 miles / 20-45 minutes by car / 50 minutes by transit
Redmond: 16.3 miles / 25-50 minutes by car / 45 minutes by transit
