Greenwood is an eclectic neighborhood in the northwest region of Seattle. Its business district has a diverse mix of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, boutiques, and a historic community theater.
Two annual events bring thousands of visitors to the area – one is the neighborhood's classic car show and the other is the Greenwood Seafair Parade, which features hundreds of parade floats, marching bands, and drill teams. Awards are given to the best and most unique teams.
Greenwood's single family bungalows and Craftsman-style homes are more affordable than some of Seattle's trendier neighborhoods, but gentrification has led to development of new condos and townhomes and is driving up prices for housing.
Greenwood is bordered on the north by Broadview and Bitter Lake, on the east by Northgate and Green Lake, on the south by Phinney Ridge, and on the west by Crown Hill and Whittier Heights.
