Cremorne has a low violent crime rate and a low property crime rate for Sydney.
Cremorne is an affluent, residential suburb in Sydney's Lower North Shore region. Like many of its neighbors, this is a hilly area which offers up stunning views of the water and surrounding areas. This is a fairly quiet community which makes it popular with families and professionals.
Military Road is the primary artery into and out of the neighborhood, which makes it the scene of serious traffic during rush hour. It's also the commercial hub of Cremorne – you'll find gas stations, restaurants, home design and furniture stores, a grocery store, fitness center, and the famous Hayden Orpheum, a luxe Art Deco movie theater built in 1935.
Along and adjacent to Military Road are highrise and midrise apartments. Once you get a couple blocks away you'll find single-family homes.
Cremorne has several parks, including the large Primrose Park and Brightmore Reserve, which have sports fields, tennis courts, picnic areas, and walking paths.
A ferry stop at Cremorne Point can shuttle you around the harbor, including to the Sydney CBD.
Cremorne is bordered on the north by Willoughby Bay, on the east by Mosman, on the south by Cremorne Point, and on the west by Neutral Bay and Cammeray.
