North Bondi has a low violent crime rate and a low property crime rate for Sydney.
North Bondi is considered the "locals" part of the Bondi Beach area. Perched on a hill overlooking the Tasman Sea, it lacks the tourists and Sydneysiders who flock to the beach in summer. This also means that it's not as bustling a retail and dining scene as Bondi Beach, but it still offers a good selection of cafes and restaurants.
The Ben Buckler Lookout provides a commanding view of all of Bondi Beach and is a great spot to watch the sun rise (people here do get up that early for a run or a surf, even in winter). Aboriginal carvings can be found on the cliffs below.
The Bondi Golf Course is situated right on the water and does not require membership to play here.
North Bondi is bordered on the north by Dover Heights and Rose Bay, on the east by the Tasman Sea, on the south by Bondi Beach, and on the west by Rose Bay.
